Privacy notice

Last updated: 28 October 2026

This notice explains, in plain language, what happens to your information when you use Gusty at heygusty.com.

Who we are

Gusty is run by Aniela Fidler-Wieruszewska, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom, trading as Gusty. She is responsible for your personal data (the "controller").

Questions about your data: hello@heygusty.com

What we collect

  • Your ideas and projects: what you write, and Gusty's readings, directions and next steps for them, plus the choices you make (for example, the mode you prefer).
  • Your email address, if you add one to keep your projects or to sign in.
  • Feedback you choose to send us.
  • A record of AI requests: which feature was used, when, and how much it cost to run. This record never includes what you wrote.
  • If you support Gusty: Stripe handles the payment. We can see your name, email address, the amount and the date in Stripe. We never see your card details.
  • Cookies: one to keep you signed in, and a short-lived one (one hour) when you bring guest projects into your account. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don't use analytics.

Why we use it

  • To run Gusty for you: saving your projects, preparing readings and next steps, and sending sign-in emails. This is needed to provide the service you asked for.
  • To keep Gusty safe and affordable: daily limits, preventing misuse and fixing problems. This is in our legitimate interests.
  • To improve Gusty from the feedback you choose to send. This is in our legitimate interests.
  • To handle support payments and keep financial records, as the law requires.

How Gusty uses AI

When Gusty reads your idea or suggests steps, the text of that project is sent to Anthropic, the company that makes the Claude AI, to prepare the answer. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, this text isn't used to train their models.

AI suggestions can be wrong. Please avoid including sensitive details, such as health information, about yourself or other people in your ideas.

Who helps us run Gusty

These companies process data on our behalf, only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase: database and sign-in (EU).
  • Render: hosting the website (Frankfurt, Germany).
  • Anthropic: AI readings and suggestions (United States).
  • Resend: sending sign-in emails.
  • Stripe: support payments and receipts.
  • ImprovMX: forwarding emails sent to hello@heygusty.com.

Some of these providers are based in, or may process data in, the United States. Where they do, they rely on safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the UK's data bridge or standard contractual clauses. We don't sell your data or share it for advertising.

How long we keep it

  • Your projects and email address: until you delete them or your account.
  • The record of AI requests: deleted with your account.
  • Feedback: kept while it's useful for improving Gusty. It's no longer linked to you once you delete your account.
  • Payment records: kept by Stripe, and by us for as long as UK tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to receive a copy of it, or to object to or restrict how we use it. You can download your projects and delete your account yourself on My Projects. For anything else, email hello@heygusty.com and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes

If we change how we use your data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
